Our passion for our visual thinking and visual explanations gets recognized in unexpected places. Over the years, a ton of blogs and several books have included our infographics. And now this: Randy Krum included our SEO infographic “Page Rank Explained” in his recent book. Check out page 115. Thank you Randy! And kudos to the Elliance team for dreaming of share-worthy infographics!
In the recently released book titled “Audience, Relevance, and Search”, three Elliance SEO explanation graphics are featured to illustrate “Step-by-Step Keyword Research”. The book is authored by three IBM veterans: James Mathewson, editor-in-chief of IBM.com; Frank Donatone, chief search strategist for IBM.com; and Cynthia Fishel, interactive marketing and branding specialist at IBM. This is the third book published in recent years that has elected to use Elliance SEO infographics to illustrate concepts in search engine marketing. We created the SEO infographics as a community project to advance the practice of search engine marketing. For an entire year, they were featured weekly on Search Engine Land, the second most popular marketing blog on the planet. To see the entire collection, click here.
In winning this award, Elliance shares spotlight with firms from London, New York and Miami. Companies like Elliance are the real reason why President Obama has chosen Pittsburgh for the upcoming G-20 summit. When President Obama talks about “renewed industries that are creating the jobs of the future”, he is in fact referring to companies like us. Despite the recession, Elliance has been growing, hiring people and creating a global footprint. Click here to see the list of other winners.
One of our recent SEO Infographics titled ‘Life of a Web Article’ was picked up by Randy Krum’s Cool Infographics blog. Goes to show, if a brand does nice things that add value, are fun or are educational, others will talk up the brand. Perhaps more importantly, the popularity of our infographics and emergence of blogs like Randy’s point to a deeper shift towards Visual Thinking. In the age of information overflow, visual thinking can shape rapid understanding and create meaning.
As a demonstrable proof of ‘Visual Thinking’, we have been producing search engine marketing infographics for over a year. They were posted on Search Engine Land and on our own seo.elliance.com website. Thousands of tweets, delicious entries, blog conversations later, we have built a reputation amongst search marketers as the seo infographics company. At a conference last year, I bumped into Matt Cutts, of Google fame, who expressed his joy and anticipation of our weekly search infographics. We continue get lots of comments from people in the marketing community who appreciate that we have made search engine optimization easy to understand for the masses. Yet another mention of their power and simplicity showed up on Traffic Flow SEO website. Enjoy.
